My opportunity was the increase in Sexually Transmitted Diseases on college campuses. In the past two years, there has been an increase in STD's on college campuses and the number are reportedly still rising
The solution to the problem that I am proposing is one that has been implemented in the past. I want to put condom vending machines in common college party scenes, such as bars, fraternity houses, clubs, and campus housing. These machines will either charge a small fee for a condom, like a quarter or they can even swipe their student ID and have it charged to their student accounts. So lack of change won't prevent them from being safe. If the machines are put somewhere not out in the public like a bathroom or a back hallway then more students would be willings to take them. Many reasons why people don't buy or ask for a condom is because they don't want to be embarrassed or they don't want others to know what they're doing. So keeping the machines private will hopefully increase the amount of safe sex happening on campus.
I think this is a good idea but probably better left to the schools to handle (if it's on campus). Maybe a good way to spin this is putting it in the local bars, kind of like they started putting the phone charging stations. Definitely not a bad idea, keep exploring it!
